Quick Turmeric Tea / Golden Milk (Vegan)

(Serves 4) – Adapted from Wellness Mama’s 5 Minute Turmeric Tea recipe

Earthy, medicinal, anti-inflammatory, good for digestion, the list of benefits goes on!

Ingredients

2 cups of marula nut milk (can use other types of nut milks if you don’t have marula nuts)

*make your own by putting 4 Tbsp raw marula nuts and 2 cups filtered water in a blender. Blend for a few minutes until smooth and creamy. Pour through a nut bag to remove any pulp, or simply leave as is for a thicker consistency

1 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp cinnamon

pinch of black pepper

tiny piece of fresh, peeled ginger root or 1/4 tsp ginger powder

pinch of cayenne pepper (optional)

1 tsp raw honey or maple syrup to taste (optional)

Instructions

Blend all ingredients in a high-speed blender until smooth.

Pour into a small saucepan and heat for 3-5 minutes over medium heat until hot but not boiling.

Drink immediately.
